Stovetop faucets, also known as pot fillers, represent an innovative solution that revolutionizes the ergonomics of professional kitchens by eliminating the need to carry heavy pots filled with water from the sink to the stove. These devices are installed directly on the stovetop, allowing you to fill pots directly over the stovetop with a simple movement. Monolith produces a complete range of pot fillers, specifically designed to withstand the high temperatures and aggressive vapors typical of cooking environments. The articulated arm configuration allows the faucet to be positioned precisely over the desired pot and to be completely closed away from the stovetop when not in use, optimizing space and reducing the risk of accidental impacts. These devices are particularly popular in kitchens where large quantities of pasta, soups, or broths that require large volumes of water are prepared.
What are they for?
Stovetop faucets solve one of the most critical ergonomic problems in professional kitchens: transporting heavy pots full of water from the sink to the stove. In a kitchen that prepares dozens of portions of pasta a day, eliminating this movement drastically reduces the risk of injuries from overloading and burns from splashes. The pot filler allows you to place the empty pot on the stove, open the faucet, and fill it directly, saving valuable time and physical effort for staff. During peak service periods, this efficiency translates into minutes gained that make the difference between smooth service and kitchen queues. The high flow rate (typically 15-20 liters per minute) allows you to fill a 20-liter pot in less than 90 seconds, optimizing preparation time. For kitchens that prepare broths or stocks, having hot water directly on the stove eliminates initial heating time, further speeding up the process.
Technical Features
Monolith pot fillers are designed to withstand the extreme conditions of the cooking environment, with materials certified for high temperatures. Depending on the type of product, the construction materials used are chrome-plated brass and/or AISI 304 stainless steel, materials that maintain their mechanical properties even at temperatures above 100°C. The articulated arm uses AISI 304 stainless steel parts with PTFE (Teflon) gaskets that resist heat without degrading, ensuring a perfect seal even after years of exposure to steam and high temperatures. Products with a dual-control closure (two separate knobs for hot and cold water) offer temperature control and greater safety than single-control versions. The arm length varies from 35 to 70 cm, allowing it to reach all burners on the hob. The flow rate is adjustable via the controls, allowing both rapid filling and precise dosing for recipes that require specific volumes of water.
